Garena Free Fire India coming to Google Play Store on September 5: Everything you need to

In February last year, the Indian government had recommended a ban on 54 Chinese mobile applications including Free Fire, which was one of the most downloaded games of 2021. In an interview with indianexpress.com, Vaibhav Das Mundhra, Senior Manager and game Producer, Garena said that the modified version has been developed keeping the local laws and regulations in mind. Just like BattleGrounds Mobile India, Free Fire India will implement ‘playtime limits’ and remind players to ‘Take a Break’ if they are playing for a long time. Moreover, the Singapore-based company will also remind users that the game takes place in a virtual world. To keep in line with Indian laws, the game will also enforce spending limits and toxicity reporting mechanisms. In order to boost its presence in the country’s Esports market, Garena recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Uttar Pradesh that will let the company host an international-level Esports tournament in the state sometime in December. The game is currently open for pre-registration on the Google Play Store and interested players can sign up for the game by simply searching for ‘Free Fire India’ and tapping on the green ‘Pre-register’ button.
